Account Executive, DirectConnect Specialist

Position Overview

Account Executive will be responsible for business development and account management of marketing services through DirectConnect . 

Position Details

CITY, STATE: Boca Raton, FL OR Orlando, FL (potential to work remotely for the right candidate)
TITLE: Account Executive, DirectConnect Specialist
STATUS: Full Time
PAY RATE: Base salary plus very Aggressive Commission Structure and Incentive and Bonus Plan.
REPORTS TO: CEO, CVO, and Vice President
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
Account Executive will be responsible for business development and account management of digital marketing services through the DirectConnect product. 

  • Identify and qualify potential accounts in the hospitality industry.
  • Aggressive prospecting and solicitation to meeting suppliers, including General Managers, Director of Sales and Marketing,  Advertising and Marketing Agencies, etc.
  • Development of marketing materials, proposals and presentations.
  • Conduct online demonstrations and presentations.
  • Represent company and all services and products at tradeshows and industry events to both meeting planners and meeting suppliers.
  • Research and keep apprised of market competitors and report findings to team. 
  • Follow-up on leads generated through company marketing efforts.
  • Account penetration to learn full scope of potential needs.  Account Management to include following up on account to ensure client’s success with product, and keeping clients apprised of any enhancements to the product. 
  • Consult with clients on marketing goals and overall plan of success and Project Management to include:
       - If project manager is not assigned: Working with client to ensure deadlines are met.  Review materials with client and give feedback and suggestions based on industry best practices.
       - If project manager is assigned: Working as 2nd point of contact to client in making sure that deadlines are being met and that client is being responsive.  Once materials are received consult with client on industry best practices. 
  • Utilize Salesforce.com to manage all accounts and ongoing activity call log.
  • Achieve or exceed sales and prospecting goals.
  • Participate in required team activities including weekly conference calls (team and company) and annual meeting/retreat.
  • Actively participate in team and company initiatives.
  • Provide monthly forecast reports and other documentation as required.
  • Follow SOPs as established by CEO, CVO, or Team Leader (Vice President).

 Education, Experience and Skills Required:

  • Must have excellent computer skills including a high proficiency in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Powerpoint.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
  • Experience in hospitality industry, preferably with sales to the meetings industry.
  • Previous experience with digital marketing and monitoring trends.
  • Must be able to be a creative, out-of-the-box thinker.  
  • Strong track record of closing business and meeting or exceeding sales goals.
  • Clear understanding of marketing to meeting planners and suppliers.
  • Ability to sell and represent multiple products. 
  • Strong business development and sales skills.
  • Must be a team player.
  • Must be extremely organized and have the ability to keep clients on track and within deadlines.
  • Must be detailed oriented.
  • Must be a self-starter and the ability to handle various tasks efficiently and within deadlines.
