Fort Collins Marriott Goes “Even Greener” Encouraging Planners to Give Back to Nature While Getting Back to Nature with a high performance bicycle, approximate value of $1000.

As a part of the Marriott International initiative to preserve the rainforests, Fort Collins Marriott has introduced an “even greener” offering. Group bookings of 10 or more guest rooms made by December 31, 2009 will have a cash contribution made in the group’s name to the Amazonas Sustainable Foundation to protect the Juma Reserve in the Amazon Rainforest of Brazil. Donations will equal five percent of the total cost of the group’s guest rooms.

What’s “even greener”, Fort Collins Marriott is further rewarding meeting planners who give back to nature with the means to get back to nature. Planners who book a meeting of 20 or more guest rooms between January 1 and March 31, 2009 will receive an exciting alternative to transportation with a Specialized Globe Centrum Comp IG8 bicycle. Designed for travel through urban terrain, this performance vehicle provides commuters with an “even greener” mode of transportation, further offsetting their carbon footprint on the global environment. Approximate retail value $1,000.

Opportunities apply to meetings held during select dates through December 31, 2011.
